Overview

Released by Konami in 1993 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland serves as the late-era 8-bit follow-up to the original breakout hit. The plot kicks off when Buster Bunny and the gang receive invitations from a "secret admirer" to attend the grand opening of a brand-new amusement park in Acme Acres. Upon arrival, the gang quickly discovers that the park is a trap orchestrated by their archenemy, Montana Max. To reach Max and face off in his treacherous Funhouse, the Toons must brave four perilous park attractions to gather enough entrance tickets, squaring off against familiar foes like Roderick Rat, Elmyra Duff, and Arnold the Pit Bull along the way.

Shifting away from the traditional side-scrolling format of the first entry, Trouble in Wackyland functions as an attraction-based stage selector where each ride offers a distinct style of gameplay starring a specific character. Players control Plucky Duck in an arena-style bumper car battle, Hamton J. Pig on a hazardous runaway train ride, Babs Bunny aboard a high-speed roller coaster, and Furrball maneuvering a precision-based log ride while avoiding Sweetie Pie. Clearing these four rides awards golden tickets that unlock the fifth and final stage—a sprawling, trap-filled platforming maze where Buster Bunny must navigate inverted gravity, falling obstacles, and tricky jump timing to defeat Montana Max.
